Botswana Stock Exchange has launched its own Stock market simulator with the help of Stanbic Bank Botswana, the question is, what is it and what is it used for?

A Stock market simulator is a computer software or programming that mimics live behaviors and features of a stock market without the risk of capital or using virtual money. It mirrors the stock market, think of it as demo trading on the mt4 / mt5 trading app.

In it, anyone will be able to trade all the listed assets on the BSE.

It is live and one can create their own account now,

Copy the link above and see a short video of how the simulator looks like

Now there is competition for High schools to trade in this market, it has been there all along with BSE and senior schools but this time it will be through this platform where they will trade and build portfolios.

And there are cash prices & voucher prices where the schools and students win positions 1,2, & 3.

A national competition will be launched too with actual prizes. There will be rankings, whoever has the most value in his portfolio in the end wins.
